Our Vision
At Unicom we strive to go beyond providing a purely landlord service. The home that you occupy during your university life has a huge impact on your university experience. Not only do we provide quality homes at varying price ranges but we assist with utility bills, broadband, and TV set up to make sure that your Unicom home is a home from home. We take the stress out of your move in and stay at Hull University.
Founded over 30 years ago we are owner managers of over 1000 bed spaces. With two offices in the heart of the university area, Newland Avenue and Cottingham Road, we are ever present to help and assist. We have an experienced faculty and friendly team, and offer a 24/7 call-out service.
What we can provide
Student Lettings
1-32 bedroom student homes, all ten minutes walk or less to Hull University.
Group Lettings
We can let multiple houses next to/near each other to one large group.
Rooms in Shared Houses
We pair up individuals to create a 4 or 6 bedroom house, we try to match the demographics of the house so that you are in similar university years, and courses.
Postgraduate Houses
We all know that being a postgraduate can hold a little more responsibility and consequently study, so we like to offer a service where we pair up postgraduates.
One-semester Only Rooms or Houses
Here at Unicom we are aware that certain courses mean that students will only require one semester’s accommodation; we can offer this facility to you. Whether it be one member of a larger group that requires it, or the entire group. Call to discuss on 01482 491009, or email [email protected].
Placement Year Houses in Hull
Hull has many businesses that offer placement years to exchange students. We hold open days so you have an opportunity to meet other placement year students, and can view the properties on a weekend. This allows you to select houses on nearby streets to create a sense of community for all the placement students whilst on your placement year. Once the houses are selected there is no problem if you wish to swap between them once you have found your feet and a group that suits you.
Contractor Housing

Utilities and Extras
Unicom goes that extra mile beyond just being a landlord, we provide all kinds of bills inclusive packages (including gas, electricity, water and broadband). We also can provide plasma TVs, TV Licences, interior design packages, BBQ pack, party packs, and much more. Please ask on your viewing for more details.
